About Me
Molly Slattery is thrilled to be joining Seeds of Health as a School Counselor at Tenor Journal Square High School. With over four years of experience as a school counselor, she has had the opportunity to support middle school students through individual, group, and classroom guidance focused on academic success, high school and career readiness, and social-emotional growth. She is deeply committed to creating inclusive, supportive environments where all students feel valued and empowered to reach their full potential.
Prior to her counseling role, she served as a Family Case Manager and worked with diverse populations in a culturally responsive and trauma-informed manner. She assessed client needs, identified goals, and connected families to community resources to support lasting, positive change. Across both roles, she collaborated effectively with educators, families, and external partners to advocate for student and family well-being, shaping her holistic, student-centered approach to counseling.
She holds a master’s degree in Professional Counseling with a concentration in School Counseling from Mount Mary University and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Adult Education from Alverno College.
Outside of professional work, Molly has been actively involved in dance and team leadership for over a decade. Her journey began in high school, where she was a member of the Poms Team from 2008 to 2012 and served as team captain during her senior year. She continued her passion for dance at Alverno College, participating on the Dance Team from 2012 to 2017. During her final year, she also took on the role of volunteer coach, balancing leadership responsibilities while remaining an active team member. In 2022, she accepted the position of Head Dance Coach at Greenfield High School, where she led and developed the team through 2024.
“One of my favorite things about being a School Counselor is the opportunity to help students identify their goals and support them in building a pathway toward success both academically and personally. I find deep fulfillment in working closely with students to understand their individual challenges and strengths, and in guiding them through academic planning, goal setting, and personal development. I especially value creating inclusive and supportive spaces where all students feel seen, heard, and empowered. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of a team that collaborates to ensure every student has access to the resources, support, and opportunities they need to thrive, both in school and beyond.”
