Important Parent Information
School Closings
In the event of inclement weather, the school will be closed when Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) are closed. In addition, there may be times when Tenor High School is closed due to unforeseen circumstances and MPS is open.
Notifications will be made to families by:
- ParentSquare - an automated phone call, text message and/or email to parents and guardians about school-related safety, weather-related closings, reminders and absences. Please make sure your contact information is up-to-date in Skyward to ensure that you receive important messages.
- Posted on the school website
- Posted to local television channels
No announcement means that school is open.
Parent Involvement
Tenor High School’s Parent Council is a committee composed of parents and the school principal. The council meets quarterly to discuss and share input concerning timely school issues such as: School operations, staff and programs, Test scores (MAP, ACT, Forward, PreACT), Grants, Accountability and annual report, and Parent Council/student school events.
