About Me
Ashley Contreras is joining Seeds of Health as an associate principal at Tenor Cathedral Square High School.
She has several years of classroom experience as a teacher, where she worked to create engaging, inclusive, and student-centered learning environments. Beyond the classroom, Ashley has contributed to educational development efforts in Sierra Leone, supporting initiatives that promote equitable access to quality education. She also served as a leader in social-emotional learning, guiding implementation and providing coaching to ensure students and staff alike were supported in their personal growth, relationships, and emotional well-being both in and out of school.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, with certification in English as a Second Language, and a Master of Business Administration in Education Leadership from the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
When not working, Ashley enjoys spending time outdoors, whether she’s hiking, running, exploring new trails, or simply walking around and soaking in nature with her family and dogs. She loves staying engaged with all that Milwaukee has to offer and is always up for discovering new experiences around the city. She is also deeply passionate about social justice and committed to fostering inclusive, equitable communities where everyone feels a sense of belonging and purpose.
“What I love most about my career in education leadership is the opportunity to build meaningful relationships and help create environments where students and staff can thrive. It’s incredibly rewarding to contribute to a school culture that empowers young people, supports growth, and promotes lifelong learning.”
“I’m so excited to join Seeds of Health as a new associate principal and to support a welcoming, inclusive school climate where every student feels valued. I’m especially drawn to Seeds of Health’s commitment to making a real difference in life outcomes for students. The mission to truly meet the needs of urban learners reflects the kind of purposeful, equity-driven work I’m proud to be a part of.”
